ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. -- Two people were arrested Sunday after they allegedly tried to ditch a black gym bag containing materials to manufacture meth.
Zach Kneisley, 34, and Whitney Mills, 27, were charged with Possession with the Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, according to a release from the St. Augustine Beach Police Department.
Police were called Sunday morning to reports of a suspicious package on Lee Drive. The person who called saw a man and a woman drop a bag at the tree line, which was found to have "chemicals and paraphernalia commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine," the release detailed.
Kneisley and Mills, who matched the description of the man and woman given to police, were seen "sweating and restless" leaving a CVS Pharmacy on State Road A1A.
They were stopped and taken into custody a short time later.
