JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants, among other NFL opponents, at EverBank Field in Jacksonville during the 2014 season.
The team's opponents have been established by the NFL and dates of the games will be announced by the league in the spring. Today the NFL announced that the Jaguars will host the Dallas Cowboys in London's Wembley Stadium during the 2014 season.
"While we're in the middle of the current season and everyone is working hard at improvement and progress, we are excited about the schedule we face next year," said Jaguars owner Shad Khan.
"It's a strong schedule from both a competitive standpoint and from a fans' perspective, and we hope to continue building and improving in both ways. We're also pleased to face the Cowboys in London in our second game at Wembley Stadium."
The Jaguars' home opponents at EverBank Field in 2014 will be the Steelers, the Giants, the Cleveland Browns, and the AFC East team that finishes in the same place as the Jaguars finish in the AFC South this season. These are in addition to the Jaguars' three division opponents - the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans - visiting EverBank Field.
The 2014 campaign will mark the Jaguars' 20th season in the NFL. It will be highlighted by a $63 million upgrade and new enhancements of EverBank Field, including the largest video boards in the world and features and amenities that will give the stadium a look and feel that is uniquely Jacksonville. Construction on this project will begin at end of the current football season and is expected to be completed in July.
The Jaguars' road games in 2014 will be to Baltimore, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Washington and an AFC West city, in addition to Houston, Indianapolis and Tennessee.
