EAST PALATKA, Fla. -- According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, two suspects who allegedly robbed Florida Power and Light substation in East Palatka, have been arrested.
Patrick Duff, 33, and 27-year-old Justin Osteen was charged with burglarizing FP & L on November 3.
Employees observed an individual taking various items from within the fenced area at the substation.
Deputies responded and saw Duff standing outside a cut fence on the northside of the facility.
Duff was caught and informed the police that Osteen was inside the fenced area.
The authorities noticed that several rolls of copper electrical wire had been removed from inside the fenced area and were located outside the facility.
Osteen was not found at the scene but was later found by St. Johns County deputies at a residence in St. Augustine.
Duff and Osteen were charged with burglary grand theft.
