JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Dyle Mobile TV is now available in Jacksonville. The gadget allows you to catch free live television at home or on-the-go on your mobile device. Now, watching the news, sports and entertainment is more convenient than ever.
You can access live local and national news, sports and entertainment without streaming or using the internet. First you download the Dyle TV app by Siano, turn on your Audiovox mobile TV receiver and hook up to the signal on your Android or Apple phone or tablet.
This free signal uses airwaves reserved for TV which are separate from Wi-FI and cellular signals. After opening the app, scan for TV stations and you get a list of channels that are available. Next, click on Channel 12 or 25 and there you have it, a live signal. You can even pause and rewind programming. The rechargeable battery is good for four hours of constant TV viewing.
Dyle Mobile TV is available in 38 US markets right now and is a joint venture of 12 major broadcast groups including Gannett, the parent company of First Coast News. The receiver sells for $100 on Amazon and soon will be available at Radio Shack.
Jacksonville residents will have a chance to win a free MobileTV receiver tomorrow morning. Go to the Tapestry café off Southside Boulevard at 9823 Tapestry Park Circle.
There will be an assortment of giveaways between 9 and noon. It's part of the National Coffeehouse Mobile TV Tech tour.
