JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man walked into UF Health with a gunshot wound after he said he was struck by a stray bullet Wednesday.
Police said the victim was either very confused or not telling the whole truth when he entered the hospital around 6:45 p.m. and talked to authorities.
The investigation revealed the man heard five gunshots somewhere near him and one hit him in the leg near 26th and N. Myrtle Ave. No actual scene was discovered by police.
The victim's injuries were minor in nature, according to UF Health personnel.
The suspect, or suspects, are at large.
