JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An armed robbery and kidnapping incident that happened Tuesday morning is now only being investigated as an armed robbery.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office originally reported that an 18-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped early Tuesday morning while walking to school.

JSO first reported that the victim was on her way to Andrew Jackson High School when two male suspects grabbed her and put her in a black Chevy Impala with leather seats and tinted windows.

Now, the information investigators have gained leads them to believe that the incident should be investigated as a robbery and not a kidnapping, according to JSO Public Information Officer Melissa Bujeda.

The two suspects, believed to be in their late teens, are still being sought. One of them was wearing a black jacket with lime green trim.

Anyone with any information about the identity or location of these suspects or vehicle is asked to contact JSO at (904) 630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.

To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
