ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -- The Atlantic Beach City Commission has fired the city manager and city attorney following last night's meeting.
According to our news partner The Florida Times-Union, the commission voted 3 to 2 in a controversial meeting.
Mayor Carolyn Woods never gave a specific reason for voting to replace City Manager Jim Hanson and City Attorney Alan Jensen, but said it is not a personal vendetta and that the commission needs to move together.
Hanson said he respects the decision and was honored to serve the community.
