FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- Results of the national "Click It or Ticket" campaign that ran from November 18 to December 1 have been announced by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
During the campaign deputies issued 55 speeding citations, 139 safety belt citations and 12 uninsured motorist citations. Police were also able to make 10 arrests for driving with a suspended license, 9 arrests for drugs and 24 additional arrests.
FCSO said, "Programs such as "Click It or Ticket" help remind drivers of the importance of wearing their seat belt and making sure that their passengers buckle-up as well. The goal of programs such as this is not about issuing tickets, it's about saving lives and reducing the number of severe injuries often associated with motor vehicle crashes."
