JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man is in custody after he allegedly tried to rob a Jacksonville Bank branch downtown.
The robbery occurred at the branch in the 100 block of North Laura Street.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a man went into the bank demanding money and left after he was given an undisclosed amount of money.
Police located him downtown and confiscated his truck, which had Massachusetts plates.
The bank robbery comes two days before a marathon and half marathon sponsored by Jacksonville Bank is scheduled to take place at the Bolles School on Sunday at 7 a.m.
