Man wanted for strong armed robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are seeking a strong armed robbery suspect accused of robbing a woman as she was getting into her car.

Police responded to the McDonald's in the 8000 block of Normandy Avenue January 4 at 7:33 p.m. in response to reports of a strong armed robbery, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The victim, a McDonald's employee, was getting into her car in the McDonald's parking lot when she was attacked by an unknown male, according to JSO.

The suspect is described as a male between forty to fifty years old, between 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 inches tall and weighs between 200 to 210 pounds. The suspect was wearing a dark gray or black "hoodie" style sweatshirt, dark colored jeans and white tennis shoes, according to JSO. The suspect may have dropped a hat which was picked up by another heavy set male parked in a white pickup truck near the victim's vehicle. A witness said the suspect had a strong odor of cigarettes.
