ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. -- Two deputies and two others had to be decontaminated this afternoon after being exposed to a meth lab.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, two deputies arrived at the Stone Cove Apartments on West Pope Road, and when they went into a home, their eyes began burning.
Two people inside the apartment were also exposed, but investigators haven't determined what their connection is to the lab.
None of the people faced any serious risk, but did need a thorough decontamination following their exposure, as did two puppies found in the apartment.
The meth lab was found in a bathroom, and a specialist was called form Orlando to clean the area late Tuesday night.
No arrests have been made thus far, but the investigation is continuing.
