The FAMU board is meeting this week on campus. During the first day the board will discuss the university budget, university audits as well as recommendations regarding hazing drawn up by FAMU President James Ammons.

Ammons wants to limit membership in The Marching 100 to full-time students and he wants to increase academic requirements for those playing in the famed band.

The president suspended the band last November after the beating death of drum major Robert Champion. Last month Ammons said the suspension would stay in effect for the coming school year.

Eleven FAMU band members face felony hazing charges, while two others face misdemeanor counts for alleged roles in Champion's hazing.
