JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Court will resume in Duval County today for the first time in two weeks.
City and court officials agreed to use the old Duval County Courthouse for hearings today through Friday, while workers finish setting up operations at the new courthouse.
According to the Clerk of Courts' website, only currently scheduled Circuit and County Criminal and Juvenile cases will be heard this week. Emergency filings, domestic violence cases and walk-ins will still be handled at the Courthouse Annex on Bay Street. The Beach Boulevard satellite office is taking care of all traffic cases.
