JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Tuesday, First Coast News Sports Anchor Chris Porter stopped in one of Jacksonville's oldest neighborhoods for a tour of an estate in Fort Caroline.
The house, which is located right near the Fort Caroline National Park, was originally a started as a fish camp when it was built some 50 years ago.
The original structure was a boat house that sits along the St. Johns River.
The Ft. Caroline mansion has 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths and is valued at a little more than $2,500,000.
One of the most impressive features in the house is its beam ceiling built by hand.
The beam ceiling supports a slate roof, which you'll rarely find on the First Coast.
This mansion is perfect for boat lovers.
