ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Cocaine was found washed ashore in St. Johns County overnight or early Friday morning.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, a significant amount of cocaine washed up near Fort Matanzas and Crescent Beach.
Multiple agencies are involved in this investigation. Officers are patrolling the beaches searching for any more that may have washed up.
Individuals who find any are asked to call the police.
The Sheriff's Office warns that anyone who takes a package of cocaine found on the beach home with them and tampers with it in any way could be charged with potential felonies.
