YULEE, Fla. - The Nassau County Sheriff's arrested a Hilliard man claiming he torched several cars at an apartment complex.
Ryan Dexter Wilson, 49, was arrested on three counts of arson and two counts of burglary, according to a release from the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
Several vehicles at the Eastwood Oaks Apartment Complex had been the target of arson fires between February 22 and May 29.
A total of ten vehicles and two residences were set on fire during the nearly 90 day stretch between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. in the Hilliard area.
"His actions have resulted in thousands of dollars in property damage and resources spent through the fire department, as well as law enforcement and could have caused serious injury or death" Sheriff Bill Leeper said.
The investigation is ongoing into additional fires that occurred in the area.
Wilson is currently being held in the Nassau County Jail on a $95,010 bond.
