JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- With the New Year around the corner, you may be considering a career switch, or just beginning to think about where to start one.
Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity released the top 50 fasted growing jobs in the state.
Topping the list are home-health aides, which are expected to increase 43.9 percent by 2019.
Candice Moody with Worksource Jacksonville said many of the jobs on the list don't require a four-year college degree. Instead, many require a two-year training program, and some others, require no school training at all.
"You don't need a four-year degree for a lot of great jobs and people don't realize that," Moody said. "Every parent wants their child to go to college and get a bachelor's degree but there are many great jobs that require two years of education or less."
Here are Florida's top 5 jobs:
1. Home Health Aides - 43.9 percent
2. Network Systems and Data Communication Analysts - 40.6 percent
3. Medical Scientists - 39.4 percent
4. Court Reports - 36.8 percent
5. Brick Mason and Tile and Marble Setters - 36.4 percent
