Operation Picket Fence: 17 Murders, 20 People Arrested

By Lindy Thackston First Coast News JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The bust is called "Operation Picket Fence" because the crime organization did much of its work on the northside of Jacksonville near U.S. 1 and Montcrief Road, and area known as "Picketville." It started last year when St. Petersburg police seized a semi with eight kilograms of cocaine, 2 pounds of marijuana, and lots of pills. Later in September, two men were murdered on the northside of Jacksonville. There have been 17 drug-related murders in the "Picketville" area in the last four years. Jacksonville homicide and narcotics detectives joined forces to form the Violent Crimes Task Force last year. The task force linked the murders to the drugs, and now 20 people are behind bars. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released five pictures. They need your help finding these men. Danny Sellers is wanted on accessory to murder charges. David Daughtry, Ronald Lawson, Thomas Hayward, and Joshua Williams are wanted on drug related charges.
