By Jessica Clark First Coast News ST. JOHNS COUNTY, FL -- When a high-speed chase on I-95 started in Flagler County, Brandon Fiveash called his dad. “I gave him a heads up,” Flagler County Sheriff’s Deputy Fiveash said. “I told him that there could be a high-speed pursuit coming into his county.” His dad is a sergeant with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Sergeant David Fiveash said “We conversed over the phone, and we were able to direct the St. Johns County deputies to the area of the interstate where the pursuit was headed north.” Police reports indicate suspect Patricia Young was driving a BMW at speeds peaking 130 miles per hour. At the Flagler - St. Johns County line, the suspect hit a snag. The elder Fiveash recalled his son “told me Flagler County was going to deploy stop sticks at the county line.” Brandon Fiveash said, “I just happened to be at the right time at the right place to put out the stopsticks.” His dad said his son “failed to mention that it would be him deploying the sticks. I later found out that he deployed the sticks that punctured the tire initially.” With a bad tire, police say the driver lost control around the County Road 210 exit, hit a light pole, and flipped three times. Young was arrested and taken to jail. She faces numerous charges. Afterward, the father and son duo met up at the scene. Brandon said, “It was a good experience.” David said, “My son was there with me. It was a special moment between the two of us.”
