By Mark Spain First Coast News JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A 16-year-old boy's attorney is fighting the city's curfew law in court. The law requires those under 18 to be in by 11 p.m. on weeknights and midnight on weekends. "Kids who are out at that time of night usually aren't to any good anyway. An ordinance isn't going to stop them," said the boy's attorney, Sean Espenship. The city's attorney disagrees. "Certainly the world wouldn't end without it. It will just make the job of JSO more difficult and place more kids at risk," said Jacksonville City Attorney Ernst Mueller. The judge hearing the challenge is expected to make a ruling early next month. Florida's Supreme Court has already overturned curfew laws in Pinellas Park and Tampa.
