JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Police have arrested a twenty-year-old Jacksonville man for the murders of two women found stabbed to death in their Westside home.
William Frank Davis was taken into custody late Thursday night. Police say he was dating the daughter of one of the victims.
Homicide investigators found the women and a toddler inside a mobile home Thursday afternoon. The victims have been identified as 47-year-old Alice Albin and her daughter 16-year-old Loretta Wren. The two-year-old found in the home belongs to Albin's other daughter who was out of town during the crime.
The 2-year-old child found in the home is reportedly okay. The child was found locked in a bedroom in the home. The child will be released to his mother's custody when she returns home.
Investigators spent most of Friday at the Deer Point Mobile Home Park on the 9300 Block of 103rd Street gathering clues. Police say they were called at around 12:45pm Thursday after a friend of one of the women went to check on them. Police entered the home and found the bodies of two women.
Christine Desanto said of her neighbors, "They just kept to themselves. They didn't really come outside." "They had just moved in."
News of the deaths spread quickly in the community. Some neighbors were inquisitive and others were scared.
"It scares me. I have children. It could be a crazed man or something," said Lucy Sierra, neighbor.
Davis is expected back in court next week on the murder charges.
