By Ryan Duffy First Coast News KINGSLAND, GA -- Miss Luci's furniture store hasn't been the same since owner Luci Sigler has been gone. "She's devastated, devastated, let me tell you," says friend Shirley Mullins. Luci is with her family in Kansas, after her 18-year-old granddaughter Kelsey Smith was murdered there last week. Shirley is watching the store, and meeting with so many people coming by to offer sympathies. "I know mine's grown, but I have grandchildren, and this makes you want to latch them to you," says Shirley. Today Shirley organized a memorial at the furniture store to remember Kelsey and support Luci. "They're super, most people in Kingsland are super," says Tom Cleghorn, Kelsey's Great Uncle. Cleghorn is from Jacksonville, he says he used to visit Kelsey in Kansas and remembers her kindness. Her grandmother, Luci, had just been to Kansas last month for Kelsey's high school graduation. "She was so excited to go to her granddaughter's graduation, she was telling everyone about her, how pretty she was, at least she did see her graduate, but now this happened," says Shirley. Luci Sigler has 6 kids and 15 grandkids. She plans to stay in Kansas until after the funeral on Tuesday. Related articles:
