MIAMI -- The U.S. Marine Corps Forces South is changing commanders.
Maj. Gen. John Croley will relinquish command after his second tour as commander on Thursday during a ceremony in Miami. Brig. Gen. W. "Blake" Crowe will take his place.
Crowe will help command all Marine forces assigned to the U.S. Southern Command and advise on proper employment and support of Marine forces. He will also help conduct deployment and redeployment planning and execution of assigned, attached Marine forces and accomplish other operational missions as assigned.
Military and government officials - from both the national and local level - will attend the ceremony.
