JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Family and friends of Navy Chief Kevin Williams are holding a vigil for the sailor who was last seen 30 days ago after being dropped off by a cab driver.

Williams, 39, got into a cab following an argument with his wife at the mall. He had not be heard from since.

"He paid $15 and his cab fare was $13.50. He (cab driver) said he watched my husband walk in there," said Vanessa Williams, the missing sailor's wife.

The Tivoli Apartments on Sunbeam Road is where the vigil will be held, marking the passage of 30 days.

Williams' daughter, Journi, said she just wants dad back home.

"I would tell him that I miss him, I love him," said 11-year-old Journi Williams.

There were reports of the missing sailor being spotted in North Carolina, but nothing materialized.

"It doesn't get any easier," said his wife, who keeps a cellphone at her side all the time.

The vigil being held by the family gets underway at 8 p.m. at the Tivoli Apartments where the family recently handed out flyers.

The case is being investigated both the the Navy and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Anyone with information is asked to call JSO at 630-0500.
