ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A 38-year-old surfing Thursday may have been bitten by a shark. The man said he was riding a wave and when he jumped in the water he felt something bite his foot and then release it. The surfer, who has not yet been identified, did not see what bit him. After swimming back to shore he was treated by lifeguards and fire rescue personnel before being taken to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries. Lifeguards at the beach said the indications of the bite characteristics are consistent with what they would normally see in a shark bite but that there is no way to be one hundred percent sure.
