Kathleen Trued is a Democratic activist, union member and retired teacher running for state senate district 6.
Trued states on her campaign website she is running to reverse what she says is the continued decay of human rights by those government officials whose focus in decision making isolates Floridians, especially those whose voices are rarely heard.

Trued says understands the value of teamwork and wants to leave a legacy of hope -- an expectation that Floridians can move forward by working together through discussions that reach across the aisle to solve issues that affect everyone, especially in this economic downturn which has brought a loss of stability, safety and confidence for so many individuals and families.
Trued says the economy recovers quickest under a person who starts active dialogues, a representative who is open and responsive to the needs of Floridians. Tued's campaign site asserts that the candidate consistently engages in conversations to learn about community and county issues, determining the needs of people involved, assessing the consequences of actions, and choosing a beneficial outcome.
