JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Student journalists at the University of North Florida are trying to figure out why someone would steal nearly the entire print run of their newspaper.
The Florida Times-Union reports about 3,600 copies of the Spinnaker's 4,000 total papers were apparently swiped Wednesday night. Editors are stumped; they say there wasn't anything particularly controversial in this week's issue.
The theft came after the paper's staff started off the week on a high, named the best weekly newspaper in the country by Associated Collegiate Press.
They've printed another 2,000 copies of the paper for readers who didn't get one before they disappeared.
