Tyler Hadley will remain in jail on murder charges
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- The teenager accused of throwing a party the same day he beat his parents to death made his first appearance in court this morning.
Tyler Hadley, 17, learned he will be held with no bond on two counts of first-degree murder following the deaths of his parents Blake and Mary-Jo.
Hadley reportedly threw a party at his home Saturday night, using Facebook to invite guests, and police believe his parents were already dead.
Their bodies were found early Sunday when police acted on a tip.
Hadley had no attorney at the hearing, so the judge assigned the public defender to him.
"Good luck to you," the judge said at the end of the appearance as Hadley headed back to jail.
