JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Mayor Alvin Brown is very close to put the final touches on his plan to reorganize city hall.
In a draft proposal obtained by our news partner The Florida Times Union, the mayor is considering asking all departments to cut their budgets by 15 percent.
As far as reorganization goes the plan would include creating a chief economic position and sports and entertainment officers.
The plan also envisions trimming staff and expenses in Public Works and the Sheriff's Office.
The proposal is expected to be presented to the city council next month with a vote as early as December.
