Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, stands beside Queen Elizabeth during the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant in London on Sunday. He was later hospitalized with a bladder infection.
Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has been hospitalized with a bladder infection, the BBC reports, quoting a Buckingham Palace spokesperson.
The 90-year-old Duke of Edinburgh was taken to a London hospital from Windsor Castle as a "precautionary measure" and will remain for a few days under observation, the palace says in a statement.
He will miss the Diamond Jubilee concert, honoring the Queen's reign, that will be held at the palace and is being attended by 12,000 people, the BBC says.
