Armed men in ski masks steal ATM machine

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Early Sunday morning, two men donning ski masks and black clothing robbed a Kangaroo Express on the 14000 block of Normandy Boulevard.

Two suspects allegedly entered the Kangaroo Express and forced employees into a cooler, according to a police report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The suspects stole one of the employee's cell phones in the process to avoid having the police called.

According to the report and one of the employees working at the time of the robbery, the suspects rushed in the front door wearing masks pointing revolvers at her. The employee claims she was escorted into the cooler by one of the suspects, who were wearing blue latex gloves.

While in the cooler, employees heard a crash and the ATM being pulled out of the store, the report details. Once the ATM was pulled from the store, the employees left the cooler and called police.

The suspects were captured on surveillance video driving a white 2001 Dodge Ram pick-up truck that was later recovered abandoned on the Baldwin 'Rail-Trail' bike and jogging path, according to the report. The ATM was also recovered, however it was split open and the contents had been removed.

The suspects are described as white males, in their 20s to 30s. One has blue eyes and the other brown and are of average height and weight, the report states. A third individual acted as a getaway driver, according to surveillance video, however there is no description of that suspect available.
