TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida lawmakers return to work on Tuesday, as they are scheduled to convene in the Capitol at 9 a.m.
Several contentious bills are on the table. One of them in particular, Bill 118, pertains to funerals and burials.
The bill was introduced after the Westboro Baptist Church protested a number of funerals for soldiers in Florida.
The group, which holds up signs such as "God Hates You," protests across the country.
The majority leader in the Florida Senate was so offended by this that she actually introduced Bill 118, which would ban anyone from protesting anywhere near a funeral.
Legislators arguing against the bill are concerned about limiting free speech.
The Legislature convenes at 9 a.m. and Gov. Rick Scott will be delivering his State of the State at 11 a.m.
