JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The extensive search for missing 75-year-old Gustafo Loli may now be over.
A man was found mid-morning Tuesday, deep in the woods behind Frank H. Peterson High School.
First Coast News' David Williams was on scene when some of the more than 100 Jacksonville Sheriff's Office deputies and Jacksonville Fire Rescue personnel shouted from the woods, " they found him, they found him!"
David Williams watched as an ambulance loaded the man found in the woods onto a stretcher.
Officials on scene that had been part of the search for Loli expressed delight that the elderly man may have been recovered. However, JSO would not confirm to First Coast News that the man found in the woods was Loli or what his condition was.
Coming up at 12 p.m. the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is holding a press conference in regards to the case.
