JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  A new dramatic PSA reenacting the night Trayvon Martin was killed has hit the web. The public service announcement pushing to end the "Stand Your Ground" law has one of the lawyer's for George Zimmerman speaking out and calling it "inaccurate".

The video depicts a male actor running in the rain while talking on the phone with a 9-1-1 operator as witnesses watch from their homes and react to a gun shot.

Now just one day after being released by the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara is calling the video "factual fantasy" adding in a written statement:

"The George Zimmerman case was not a 'stand your ground' case; it was clearly traditional self-defense, and therefore any campaign for the repeal of 'stand your ground' laws predicated on the facts of the Zimmerman case is a non-starter."

But a spokesperson for the CSGV who spoke with First Coast News over the phone disagrees.

"The stand your ground law was an integral part of the case, for starters there was an expert witness testimony about the law they talked out the stand your ground law and its exact parameters," said Ladd Everitt, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.

Zimmerman was found not guilty of second degree murder in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, a case that sparked national attention and a heated divide between those rallying in support and opposition to the verdict.

The spotlight was placed on Florida as well as 25 other states that have a "Stand Your Ground" law on the books.

Now the gun reform organization is hoping their 90 second PSA will motivate viewers to sign a petition and end the law.
