JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  As the heroic employees lean on grief counselors, after stepping in and helping a 9-year-old girl who was beaten and nearly killed in a Best Buy bathroom, members of the community are asking -- who are these people who saved this little girl's life?

James Tadros, 29, has been charged with multiple felonies including attempted murder after he allegedly lured a 9-year-old girl into the women's bathroom at the Best Buy store on Southside Blvd.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the suspect proceeded to kick, punch and place a plastic bag on the child's head.

The four people who stepped in and helped save the child's life are still a mystery.

Based on police reports, we do know that two of them are husband and wife, and based on their desire to remain out of the public eye, First Coast News has chosen to reference them only by their first names, Pete and Colleen.

"They're just the best people in the world, just real community people," said Nancy Boland, a neighbor to the Best Buy Hero.

According to the Nancy Boland, Colleen is pregnant and preparing for her baby shower, while Pete works around the clock at Best Buy.

"It just confirms my suspicions that he's a top notch individual," said Bruce Buffinton, neighbor to a Best Buy Hero.

And a top notch neighbor known for his friendly disposition and helpful nature.

Tadros is not eligible for bond.
