JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Robert said he came to the Prime Osbourne Convention Center for an event two weeks ago. Robert said he is a disabled veteran with a placard and tried to park in the JTA Skyway lot across the street from the Convention Center, but couldn't.
JTA spokesman, John Finotti, said the spaces, including the handicapped spots, are assigned and reserved for people who pay monthly.
Christina Castle, with SMG, said there is handicapped parking at the Convention Center during events and on managed by SMG, which are closest to the building. She said there is a fee that varies like at all event parking.
