BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- After two days of deliberations, a juror in the Guy Heinze Jr. murder trial has been excused.
The judge told jurors they have to restart their deliberations.
Thursday, the foreperson on the jury told the Judge they couldn't come to a unanimous verdict on the eight murder counts, and the aggravated assault count Heinze Jr. was facing.
Friday morning, after lots of activity by lawyers, including a private meeting, the judge announced that a juror was excused.
The new jury is made up of 9 women and 3 men.
Eight people were brutally murdered in a Brunswick mobile home in 2009. Family members have been in the courtroom every day listening to testimony, trying to get some answers as to what happened to their loved ones.
