JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The St. Johns Fire Rescue responded Thursday evening to a house fire in the 4000 block of Meadowwood Lane.
Fire rescue personnel arrived at about 4:45 p.m. to find smoke and flames coming from the unoccupied residence.
According to a SJFR Facebook post, the crew started putting out the fire from inside the structure and found that the flames spread throughout the home and attic.
It took the crew about 40 minutes to get the fire under control. The post details that the residence has extensive fire and smoke damage, and would most likely be listed as a total loss.
There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by SJCFR and the State Fire Marshals Office.
