LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Police responded in reference to a fight on August 12 and spoke with a female victim who was missing a clump of hair, according to a Lake City Police Department news release.
The victim told officers around 6:30 p.m. she was in the pool area of Columbia Arms Apartments when Kimberly Roberts, 26, allegedly hit her several times and pulled a patch of hair from her scalp.
Police observed the missing hair from the victim's scalp along with a black left eye, a bitten left index finger and scratches on her back, according to the release.
A traffic stop was made around midnight of a white vehicle driving careless. The driver was the battery suspect, Roberts, who had the victim's hair in plain view on her dashboard.
Roberts was interviewed and then arrested for battery. The hair was collected as evidence and Roberts was transported and booked at the Columbia County Detention Center for battery.
