PORTAGE, Wis. -- Police say a dispute between two employees of a Subway sandwich shop in Portage led to a fatal shooting.
Portage Detective Lt. Mark Hahn says 22-year-old David Johnson was "shot in cold blood" outside the restaurant Thursday. A 19-year-old male co-worker is being held in the Columbia County Jail on a possible homicide charge.
Hahn tells the State Journal both had been "written up" last week over a heated argument that took place at work. Police say the co-worker shot Johnson numerous times in the parking lot behind Subway when the victim arrived for work.
The co-worker was arrested in Columbus about an hour later. Hahn says a handgun and rifle were recovered from the co-worker's vehicle.
