CLEVELAND, Oh. -- Twenty people will be setting themselves on fire Saturday night in an attempt to set a Guinness world record.

The group was brought together by the Cleveland company Hotcards and local stuntman Ted Batchelor.

They'll be wearing gel-soaked under clothes meant to protect the skin, topped with three layers of saturated sweatshirts and sweatpants meant to burn.

A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Cleveland Foodbank and the Brick by Brick Organization, which helps those in South Africa.

Guinness World Record officials will be coming in from New York to verify the attempt.

The previous record of 17 people was set in 2009.

They'll be lighting up around 8 p.m. in The Flats, with a watch party at Shooters.

Receive more information about the event and discounted presale tickets on their website.
