ST. AUGUSTINES, Fla. -- Tyler Southern keeps us all amazed.
The marine from Jacksonville, is now a triple amputee. He was almost killed in an IED explosion in Afghanistan last year.
Now First Coast News, in Operation Thumbs Up, is helping rally folks to build Tyler a new home near the World Golf Village. The home project's sponsor is the non-profit national group, Homes For Our Troops.

Back to Tyler's hidden talent...
He was walking around on his new prosthetic legs, "slippers," as they're called because he can slip right into them and move. His moves took him right to the master bath under construction.

Within seconds Tyler was singing in the shower - sparkling with a song to serenade his new bride, Ashley. It's another moment of encouragement as the young marine puts back together his life as he wants to live it.
He and Ashley plan to have several children -- number under discussion -- and fill their house with family activities.
Dream Finders, the local company which stepped forward to volunteer for the home construction, says today that some $150,000 in time, labor and materials has been donated to build Tyler's home.
This week the cabinets will go in and, most likely, an upgraded AC system.
Tyler and Ashley are back in Bethesda for several weeks of continued rehab.
