While the Concours d'Elegance at Amelia Island is the undisputed crown jewel of car shows along the First Coast, Ponte Vedra's show certainly gives it a run for beauty, elegance and fun.

This year, the Ponte Vedra Car Show celebrated its tenth anniversary, held at TPC Sawgrass and hosted by the Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center on Sunday.

And yes, there were quite a few Concours-quality cars on display, including several that have competed at Amelia. Among them was Mitchell and Nadine Terk's 1939 Cadillac 75 Series Convertible Coupe.

The Jacksonville couple's Fleetwood bodied convertible is a rolling monument to bold American art deco design. According to the Terks, just five are still in existence and only 27 were built. The Terks' 75 Series was featured in the factory Fleetwood brochure. The V16-powered Caddy spent 30 years in a Vancouver auto museum and then underwent a three-year restoration to factory specifications.

The Terks acquired it in 2009 after the car completed a 2,000 mile tour across the Canadian Rockies and 1,000 mile journey across Europe.

Almost as rare was a nearby 1940 Cadillac Convertible Model 62. It's one of just nine known to still exist out of a production run of 200.

The car was originally sold to Harold Hochschild, who lived on Park Avenue in New York. He kept it for 33 years, giving it to his chauffeur's son. Next, a Cadillac collector in Pennsylvania bought it and preserved it. In 2005, a cosmetic restoration was done.
