When Army soldier Jay Proctor returned from Afghanistan in June 2010, he was having a tough time.
That's why he got his dog Madeline. But five months ago, she ran off.
Proctor desperately tried everything to find her, including spending thousands of dollars and distributing thousands of flyers.
He says the dog means the world to him.
"She pretty much kept me from losing it. When she ran away, I was scared. All the firefights I was in, in Afghanistan, I was never as scared as when she ran away," Proctor said.
Proctor says even after being in a war zone, Madeline makes him feel safe. He is even offering a $1,600 dollar reward.
