"What is happening right now?" asked a bewildered Katharine McPhee.
The Smash star walked on to Jimmy Fallon's Late Night show on Monday, following Russell Brand. Patting down her super short skirt, she looked for a place to sit, and when Brand didn't move, she took a seat on his lap.
Of course he loved it.
"You have to move," Fallon said to Brand.
Brand stood up, barking at McPhee, "You're beautiful!" He moved to the couch saying, "I'll just sit here, with my sexual charisma!"
McPhee, 28, went on to talk about being at Sunday's Super Bowl as a 49ers fan. "I left as a big loser." She talked about how she wound up on the field because she was at a Jets game in New York earlier in the season when they played the 49ers, and found out that coach Jim Harbaugh's kids are fans of Smash and they exchanged numbers.
Brand piped up. "When she said 'exchanged numbers,' I thought of things I'd like to exchange with her."
"Numbers," said Fallon.
"And genes!" said Brand. "Genetic info and data!"
As she continued her football story, the American Idol alum mentioned her husband, producer Nick Cokas, went with her to the Super Bowl, prompting Brand to pipe up again. "I look at the way you dropped the Jets. You could drop that guy any day!" He added, "Only joking. You must never destroy a marriage unless you're really bored."
