MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- According to the Florida Highway Patrol in Marion County, the fire around SR 19 from CR 314 to SR 40 is causing motorists to have smoke and fog visibility issues.
According to new reports, the Forestry Department is attempting to gain control of the fire, however, the fire continues to spread.
The Marion County Sherriff's Office are cautioning travelers to be careful when driving on State Road 40 and County Road 314 in the area of State Road 19.
The visiblity caused by the smoke and fog conditions may deteriorate during the night time and early morning hours.
Drivers in that area are requested to utilized low beam headlights and reduce their speed in order to adapt to the current conditions.
