  • De'Marquise Elkins, 17 - Charged with the shooting death of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago. Santiago was shot and killed during an alleged botched robbery March 21.
  • Karimah Elkins, 36 - Mother to De'Marquise Elkins and sister to Katrina. Karimah was arrested March 28, only two days after posting bond for charges on March 26. Karimah is facing charges of tampering with evidence for allegedly tossing the suspected murder weapon (handgun) into a salt marsh pond off Highway 17 in Brunswick. Karimah is also facing charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Karimah's 19-year-old daughter, Sabrina is facing similar charges.
  • Katrina Elkins, 33 - Booking photo from the Henry County Jail March 27. Katrina was transported to the Henry County Jail to face violation of probation charges. According to Katrina's booking sheet, she is facing shoplifting and fraud charges in Glynn County as well. Katrina is currently housed in the Henry County Jail.
  • Sabrina Elkins, 19 - Sister to De'Marquise Elkins, daughter of Karimah and niece to Katrina Elkins. Sabrina was arrested on March 28 and is facing charges of tampering with evidence for allegedly tossing the suspected murder weapon (handgun) into a salt marsh pond off Highway 17 in Brunswick.
  • Katrina Elkins, 33 - Booking photo from Henry County Jail July 2012. Katrina was stopped for driving while license suspended and speeding. Her booking sheet lists five different social security numbers, four different birthdays and five different aliases, including Katrina Freeman. Katrina told media her name was Katrina Freeman during on camera interviews.
  • Karimah Elkins, 36 - Mother to De'Marquise Elkins. Charged on March 26 with providing false statements, writing; concealing facts or fraudulent documents in matters of government. Essentially, Karimah is accused of lying to police during their investigation of De'Marquise. Katrina posted bond and was released March 26. Karimah's 33-year-old sister was also arrested.
  • Katria Elkins, 33 - Aunt to De'Marquise Elkins. Charged on March 26 with providing false statements, writing; concealing facts or fraudulent documents in matters of government. Essentially, Karimah is accused of lying to police during their investigation of De'Marquise. Katrina was transferred on March 27 to the Henry County Jail on a charge of probation violation.
  • Katrina Elkins, 33 - Department of Corrections photo. According to court records from the State of Georgia, Katrina has served a total of 47 months and 30 days behind bars for crimes she has been convicted of out of several Georgia counties, including Glynn and Chatham. Most recently Katrina was housed in the Pulaski State Prison and was released in June of 2010. Katrina also has multiple charges in Henry County.
  • James Henry Brooks, 59 - Mayor Pro Tem and Brunswick City Commissioner James Brooks Sr. was arrested March 28 on charges of influencing a witness and obstruction of an investigation. Brooks allegedly would not allow a county investigator to speak with the mother of the 17-year-old suspect in the case when she left court. Brooks bonded out of the Glynn County Jail March 29, but is facing at least six Rico indictment from the Superior Court of Camden County.
