KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- A Keystone Heights High School student was suspended for 10 days after he brought a BB gun to the school Monday.
According to Gavin Rollins, Clay County Schools Spokesman, students notified teachers the student had a BB gun in his bag.
The two resource officers, already on-site, removed the gun without incident.
"We continually review and update our security procedures to insure student safety," Rollins said in an email to First Coast News.
The student was suspended for 10 days pending further action, according to Rollins.
