Authorities on Tuesday identified three suspects Florida International University said were arrested in connection with "an effort to gain unauthorized access to exams and sell them to students."

Alex Fabian Anaya, 30, faces one count each of third-degree grand theft, dealing in stolen property and burglary of an unoccupied structure, online Miami-Dade Corrections records said. He was being held on $12,500 bond.

Jason Calderon, 23, faces one count of dealing in stolen property, according to online court records. Krissy LaMadrid, 21, faces six counts of dealing stolen property and is being held on $32,500 bond, online corrections records said.

Two of the three suspects arrested by FIU Police are current students, the university said as it announced the arrests Monday night.

The allegations involve one class this semester, with a limited number of students involved, FIU said in a notice that was sent to the university's community.

It wasn't immediately known whether the suspects have attorneys.

"The allegations are being addressed by the police and appropriate academic administrative offices. FIU will pursue all avenues to ensure that everyone who is involved is held accountable," the university said. "Also, pertinent policies and procedures will be reviewed in light of this investigation."

The investigation is ongoing and no additional details will be made available for now, the university added.
