Everbank moved 1600 employees from the suburbs to downtown over the past few weeks
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The holiday season is ushering in changes at EverBank, including 302 employees learning they will no longer be on the payroll starting in February.
The company that employs 2,600 people on the First Coast is laying off 194 because of EverBank's sale of a portion of its loan servicing platform.

The company also says because of a reduction in mortgage activity, it is eliminating 108 positions from its home lending division.
Some employees learned of the layoffs this week.
EverBank has a major presence downtown with 1,700 working in the heart of the city.
